From the traditional seasonal round to the contemporary artistic production of First Nations, this one hour interpretive tour guides you through the rich history of the Northwest Coast Tsimshian. The Museum’s extensive collection forms the basis of this tour by introducing visitors to some of the many diverse aspects of First Nations history, including daily lifestyle pre and post contact, the hosting of great Feasts and the creation of renowned works of art. Join us in the Museum’s own longhouse for this exploration into the past.

Totem poles are unique to the Northwest Coast. Learn about the stories and histories of the First Nations peoples of this area while enjoying a guided walking tour around the city to view the poles of Prince Rupert.
